DAYS ARE MADE UP OF MOMENTS

THAT TURN INTO MEMORIES

WOVEN TOGETHER TO CREATE OUR STORIES...

Here's a bit of mine

My photography journey started as a kid with a cheap Kodak Disc camera; I always got just enough keepers to motivate me to buy another roll of film and I am so grateful to have those grainy shots of slumber parties, the family dog, my mom on roller skates - viewing them evokes vivid memories and takes me right back to my childhood.

In college, I put my camera down and delved into television and video production. I learned that a successful shoot is directly linked to the level of advance preparation and went on to freelance in a variety of industry roles...troubleshooting location issues as a unit production manager, working with on-air talent as a floor director, crafting stories as a segment writer/producer and assembling entire shows as a post production supervisor.

When an upside down economy prompted my husband and I to move our family to the Caribbean for a career opportunity, I stepped away from the world of moving pictures and back to a still camera. I used this island time to hone my knowledge of the exposure triangle and effective shooting techniques for sports, action and location portraits in one of the world's most gorgeous settings.

Upon returning to the States, I began to work professionally in action and sports photography and I now also shoot senior portraits, headshots, personal projects and special events. As I intuitively understood at 10 years old, images are a powerful means of communication - whether evoking an emotion or preserving an incredible moment in time. No matter the assignment, my goal is the same - to deliver photos that are emotionally and visually compelling...whether it's a student athlete's final high school game or portraits for a new social media campaign.

Now that you know a story of mine, I'd love to collaborate with you and help you tell one of yours!

"We loved working with Haley for Josephine's senior portraits...we had specific ideas about location and "look" and she was able to make those visions come to life. The images, taken just before graduation, truly showcase Josephine's personality in those fleeting moments between high school and college and I'm so grateful for Haley's collaboration with us on the shoot."
